The first time I picked up a camera I felt a sense of excitement for PHOTOGRAPHY. As I looked through the lens and saw the images that I could reproduce, I just knew that I wanted to become a photographer and it would become my life. I love that I can take a beautiful or unusual image and share it with others.. It gives me a great feeling of accomplishment when other people enjoy looking at the photos that I have taken.
I started studying photography in high school in Durban and went on to study at Natal Technikon where I obtained my diploma. In my third year I chose my major as sport photography but I do love to capture all people and environments. I love to see the dynamics of people in my family photography shoots, and how in love two are in my couples shoot.
Photography is a memory captured. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing people remember a special moment in time I have given back to them.
During my travels, I discovered that travel photography was becoming a passion and I loved finding unusual places or people to photograph, I love the starkness of the mountains and tiny towns, I love the beautiful sunrises and sunsets but then I also love the architecture and the lights of big cities. Looking through the lens at all the weird and wonderful characters and places gives me so much joy as a photographer.
Everywhere and everybody has a moment in time that is just waiting to be captured.....and I plan to be there for that.
